Key Account Manager required for a well established, financially stable and cash rich HVAC company in the Birmingham and Bristol region. Basic to £50K OTE £65K.
Selling a range of commercial HVAC products and renewables (such as heat pumps) to large M&E Contractors on a Key Account basis.
Customers include: Wates, Vital, SES, NG Bailey, Engie, Gloucester MEP. Visiting Estimators, Project Directors, Commercial Directors.
In terms of how you'd spend your time: 25% time estimators, 40% Project Managers Buyers and Design Engineers, 35% admin. This split changes as you build the patch, and also as projects progress through.
Focused on around 30 spending accounts.
Your aim is to network well throughout these companies including the estimators, project managers and buyers and find out about projects. Secondly, you'll need to protect the specifications that they've already generated, and will include around 20 medium to large M&E Contractors that are bidding for the work and make sure the spec isn't broken.
There are no call ratio's however the last person who did this role did around 10 calls per week on a busy week and 5 on a quieter week.
Experience of calling on large M&E contractors the Midlands and South West.
Product knowledge isn't as important as customer knowledge. They have great training facilities to impart that knowledge.
A real likeable person, who knows a lot of people and is liked by a lot of people. (Events include: once a fortnight for lunches and once every couple of months for evening entertainment.)
This is a role for an energetic and dynamic ambitious individual.

Someone who is prepared to learn and develop themselves.
Basic £45K - £50K - depending on experience.
Bonus to £20K
Company car. A wide car policy e.g. BMW 330e
25 Days holiday plus bank holidays
The area covers the Midlands and the South West & Wales. You should be based near one of the following locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Bath, Gloucester.
