Key Account Manager required for a well established, financially stable and cash rich HVAC company. Ideally located in: Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds area. Basic to £50K OTE £65K.
Selling a range of commercial HVAC products to large M&E Contractors on a Key Account basis.
Customers include: Imtech, NG Bailey, HE Simm, Skanksa and Veolia. Visiting Estimators, Project Directors, Commercial Directors.
In terms of how you'd spend your time: 25% time estimators, 40% Project Managers Buyers and Design Engineers, 35% admin. This split changes as you build the patch, and also as projects progress through.
Focused on around 30 spending accounts.
Your aim is to network well throughout these companies including the estimators, project managers and buyers and find out about projects. Secondly, you'll need to protect the specifications that they've already generated, and will include around 30 medium to large M&E Contractors that are bidding for the work and make sure the spec isn't broken.
There are no call ratio's however the last person who did this role did around 10 calls per week on a busy week and 5 on a quieter week.
Experience of calling on large M&E contractors.
Product knowledge isn't as important as customer knowledge. They have great training facilities to impart that knowledge.
A successful sales background.
Basic £45K - £50K - depending on experience.
Bonus to £20K
Company car. A wide car policy e.g. BMW 330e
25 Days holiday plus bank holidays
The role covers from the M62 up to and including Scotland. The focus of your work will be in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds area.
