Job description

Sales Engineer required for a Commercial Heating company in Glasgow or Edinburgh or Newcastle, basic to £45K with commission paid monthly worth another £10K - £15K per year. 

THE COMPANY
A well established manufacturer of well respected products. This company can offer progression in the wider group with a number of people having made this transition. As a UK manufacturer they also have the edge over competitors who sometimes have supply issues. 

THE ROLE
If you're an Engineer and you like talking to people, this is the job for you. In the winter you'll be doing 2 to 3 site visits a day. Not a week, 2 to 3 a day! They win 95% of their orders when they've done a site visit. 
Their products are mainly highly efficient industrial and commercial heating products and the customer base is mainly commercial installers with the odd M&E Consultant and Contractor. 
They already have a range of products on the electric and low carbon side too. 

THE PERSON
Essential:
Engineering skills - A good Engineer capable of doing site visits and applying your knowledge of their products to the building you're in. This could be a warehouse, gym, or indsutrial unit. Commercial mechanical knowledge is prefered, however any bespoke construction experience will be considered. If you like selling widgets - this role isn't for you! 
Sales ability - although external sales experience isn't 100% necessary, you'll have to be confident and enjoy speaking to people and building relationships. 
Customer knowledge - ideally you should have some experience of dealing in the commercial mechanical supply chain. 
Generally - you'll be really busy in the winter, so you need to be organised and good under pressure. 

THE PACKAGE

Basic to £45K - depending on experience
Commission uncapped and paid monthly up to 10- 15K p.a. depending on how well you build the patch. Bear in mind the patch is a significant one already. 
Nice company car - e.g hybrid BMW.
Good pension

THE LOCATION
You should ideally be based near: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth or Newcastle to cover Scotland, the North East of England and Northern Ireland.
