Job Description

Business Development Manager required for a stable, well established domestic gas boiler spares company, looking to expand across the UK. 

THE COMPANY
A well established business with a loyal set of customers, this company are looking to further develop their client base across the country. 
A relaxed, customer focused culture, with a low staff turnover, this role offers the chance for someone to explore new avenues of business the company hasn't had the time to focus on up to now. 
As the economy slows, and unemployment increases and with householders finances restricted, people will look to repair rather than replace their heating systems. Also with the virus still at large, households aren't going to want installers in their property for 2 days, they're more likely to opt for a quick 2 hour repair. Both of these factors are an opportunity for the spares sector. Nevertheless, in good times, the spares market still has lots of opportunity!  

THE ROLE
Working from home, initially focused on a Business Development role, developing sales across the country, this job has the chance to develop into managing a team of either directly employed ASM's or Agents. 
The route to market is the independent spares stockists, independent plumbing and heating merchants, and their buying groups, and finally the national plumbing and heating merchants. They also have some accounts with large national contractors. 
Initially the role involves developing a plan to attack the above customer base, and in a post COVID world the company are aware this may require innovative ways of getting in front of people using modern technology. 
Once agreed upon a way forward, then implement the plan to develop new business, ideally having a mix of short and long term pipeline projects. 

THE PERSON
Essential experience: 
1. Successful sales track record (3 years +). Especially in new business sales. 
2. Heating industry experience at a business to business level
3. Prepared to travel nationally. 

THE PACKAGE
Basic to £50K (dependent on experience)
Bonus 
Company car or Opt Out to £550 per month (depending on experience)

LOCATION
Covering the UK and Ireland you can be based anywhere in England between the A1 and the M40 & M6 or in the Home Counties. Relevant locations are: London, Tonbridge, Maidstone, Basildon, Enfield, Watford, Reading, Cambridge, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester.
