Demand for salespeople with specialist knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning has never been higher as the shortfall of UK engineers continues to make the headlines.

A report by Engineering UK claims that almost 55,000 engineering related jobs will need to be filled annually between now and 2022 to meet the shortfall in the industry as the UK comes out of recession.

The highest paid sales roles are for those with good technical knowledge who have the capability to advise on products and systems and can be involved in design, planning and project management.

Candidates with experience of working within the building services and M&E sectors are in particularly high demand. There is no sign of this growth slowing down and we are seeing evidence of manufacturers forward planning to include the right expertise in their sales teams to help them grow.
