So, you’ve read our two previous blogs about making the move from sales to recruitment and whether you’ve got what it takes and you’ve decided to give it a go.

The good news is that there is currently a high demand for people skilled in the areas of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) following an upturn in the construction and property development sectors. This skills shortage is something the engineering industry predicts will continue well beyond 2022. 

As a result, we have seen our workload at Thornvac increase, and we’re looking for experienced sales professionals to join our skilled team of recruitment consultants.

As a niche agency providing engineering recruitment consultancy services to manufacturers, distributors and contractors, we deal with leading companies mainly in the HVAC sector, as well as some amazing candidates. We are therefore looking for help from recruiters with potential to be the best.

As a recruitment consultant with us, you will be involved in the whole recruitment process, from building relationships with the client company and the prospective candidates, to the end result of filling the vacancy.

Our trainee recruitment consultant roles offer a structured induction and training programme. The basic salary is £25K plus pension. An experienced recruiter will start on a basic salary of up to £38K. There is a pension scheme to which the company contributes. We also operate an excellent company profit sharing scheme instead of an individual bonus system to actively encourage our consultants to work together in our customers’ best interest. This should increase en experienced recruiter’s earnings to £50K in the second year.

Our offices are located at Carrwood Park in Leeds, which has free parking and is easy to get to from the motorway networks around Leeds and Wakefield.
