Niche recruitment firm Thornhvac is marking 20 years in the industry with the launch of a brand new tech division, Thornhills, specialising in hiring Javascript developers.

Thornhills will be headed up by experienced IT recruiter Liam Wilson and will focus on sourcing candidates with experience in frameworks including Node, React, Angular and Vue.

The expansion into tech recruitment follows two decades in the engineering sector, which has seen Thornhvac work closely with clients in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning markets.

James Thornhill, who founded the company with his son Jason, said the move into tech played to the firm’s strengths as a specialist recruiter.

James said: “We are firmly established as experts in HVAC with a huge amount of knowledge in this fast-moving sector and a clear understanding of how important it is for employers to have the right support when they are looking for the people and skills they need to grow.”

Thornhvac will continue to expand its client portfolio in engineering alongside the launch of the Thornhills brand, which will focus entirely on recruiting Javascript developers.

James explained: “It is certainly true that technology is becoming increasingly important in every industry, including engineering, and our objective in expanding into Javascript is to use our experience of operating as a niche practitioner to support businesses in all sectors that need a tailored recruitment service like ours to help them find the developers they need to achieve their growth targets.
