Thornhills will be headed up by experienced IT recruiter Liam Wilson and will focus on sourcing candidates with experience in frameworks including Node, React, Angular and Vue.
The expansion into tech recruitment follows two decades in the engineering sector, which has seen Thornhvac work closely with clients in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning markets.
James Thornhill, who founded the company with his son Jason, said the move into tech played to the firm’s strengths as a specialist recruiter.
James said: “We are firmly established as experts in HVAC with a huge amount of knowledge in this fast-moving sector and a clear understanding of how important it is for employers to have the right support when they are looking for the people and skills they need to grow.”
“Liam has worked in global IT recruitment for the past five years and his knowledge in this market will be invaluable to clients who value a personalised approach to finding the right people for their business,” added James.
Liam said: “I am delighted to have this opportunity to combine my experience in IT recruitment with the unique culture that has been developed by James and his team over the past 20 years to deliver a bespoke resourcing service which provides quality candidates rather than large quantities of CVs and applicants.”
